Dear Spartan Families,

One of the exciting things about the end of each school year is getting your yearbook.  We hope that will be an exciting event for you again this year; however, it is going to look a little different.

This pandemic has delayed the production of our yearbook, the Laconian.  Not only has our staff had to alter its work schedule, but the plant that prints our book had to shut down for a while.  But don’t worry – you will still get your yearbook!

The Laconian staff is working tirelessly to complete the book, and our publisher’s plant is back up and running.  As soon as we have a date for distribution we will let you know how to go about picking up your copy.  Right now, we hope to have our book available for student pickup by late June, but it’s possible the distribution date could be pushed back into July.

Here’s the good news:  Because of the delays caused by the pandemic, it’s still possible to order a copy of Salem High School’s award-winning yearbook!!!

To order a copy, please send your student’s name and check for $55 to Salem High School, 400 Spartan Drive, Salem, VA 24153 or drop your order off in the school’s Main Office between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. We will keep accepting orders until all books are sold.

Finally, if you or someone you know would be interested in purchasing an “Angel Book” for a Spartan student who cannot afford a yearbook, please include that in your order.

You are loved and appreciated,

Scott Habeeb
