Dear Spartan Families and Students,

Thank you for your patience as we have navigated this unprecedented time period.  I realize we have not always been able to answer all questions as quickly as would be desired, but we have found it prudent to wait until we have clarity before making certain decisions.

This message is to answer some questions we were unable to answer previously regarding dropping off materials, picking up personal items, and receiving graduation regalia.

If after reading this, you need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to call our Main Office.  Someone is here to assist you daily between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.

On June 8 and 9, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm we will have drop off/pickup stations located outside in front of the school.  At those times, students can drop off Chromebooks, Chargers, Textbooks, and other materials and also pick up graduation regalia.  Students will also be allowed to enter the building to collect any personal items from lockers.  Additional details follow.

Chromebook and Chromebook Charger Collection

  • Students who are not graduating seniors keep Chromebooks and chargers over the summer.

  • Only graduating seniors and students leaving our district need to return Chromebooks and chargers.

  • A Chromebook drop off station will be located in front of the school from 12:00-4:00 on both June 8 and June 9.

  • Families will drive up to the station and a staff member will approach the car to collect the Chromebook and charger.  No one will need to exit their car to drop off their Chromebook and charger.

  • Seniors who have not completed school work required for graduation should keep their Chromebook and charger and turn them at a later date.

  • Seniors must turn in Chromebooks and chargers, or pay to have them replaced, before receiving a diploma.

  • Lost Chromebooks and/or chargers, may be paid for during those times.  The fee to replace a lost Chromebook is $115, and the fee to replace a lost charger is $25.

Textbook/Calculator/Materials Collection

  • A textbook and materials drop off station will be located in front of the school from 12:00-4:00 on both June 8 and June 9.

  • All students need to turn in any textbooks, novels, library books, calculators, or other school-owned materials or instruments issued to them.

  • Families will drive up to the station and a staff member will approach the car window to collect the items you are returning.

  • No one will need to exit their car to drop off school-issued materials.

Senior Regalia Collection

  • Many graduates will be issued regalia to wear during the individual graduation ceremony held on June 13.

  • Regalia includes NHS stoles, honor society cords, IB medallions, and other items representing various clubs and accomplishments.

  • A regalia pickup station will be located in front of the school from 12:00-4:00 on both June 8 and June 9.
  • Students and club/organization sponsors should be in communication with one another prior to June 8/9 about what regalia the student should expect to pick up.

  • Families will drive up to the station and a staff member will meet you at your car window to hand you the items your sponsor has said you should receive.

  • No one will need to exit their car to collect their graduation regalia.

Locker Cleanout

  • Students will be allowed to enter the building from 12:00-4:00 on June 8 and June 9, solely for the purpose of getting personal belongings from their school or gym locker.

  • Parents or students may park in any of our front parking lots. Then the student, only, will enter the building.

  • Due to construction hazards, students will not be allowed to visit classrooms.

  • If a student has something in a classroom they need, they should contact the Main Office to determine the best way to retrieve that item.

This is a lot of information.  Please be sure to let us know if there is anything else we can clarify for you.

A separate message will be coming home in the next few days with information about a Pass/Fail option for students.  Stay tuned.

You are loved and appreciated,

Scott Habeeb
